Fibres should be removed from the fabric as soon as possible after they have dried. The project may be turned upside down to remove excess fibre before the drying process is completed. Set aside your project to dry for 10 to 15 hours after you have applied enough fibres. Be careful not to pull too hard, as this can damage the bark and cause it to fall off. If you don’t have a tweezer, use your fingers to gently pull the leaf off the branch. You can do this with a pair of tweezers or a sharp knife. The next step is to remove the leaves from the branches. Once the trees are flocked, it’s time to move on to the next stage. You can shake the flocking through a sifter positioned over a bowl of water to get more coverage. The flocking should be put on the tree once the needles are damp. When you’re ready to begin the process of flocking, fill a spray bottle with water and start with one section of the tree. The water fluffs up the flocking and seals it in place.
